Quixotic demeanor
Quixotic demeanor is a poetic installation about ethics, morals and resiliency.
What is the cost someone has to pay when he/she/they decide/s not to take shortcuts year after year? The face is broken but real. The soul is rugged but still alive.
Akano Eternii took 3D rendering of my face after Iād been told once more that people like myself were on the wrong side of success and wealth. Those unstable and fragile renderings are the representation of a life of fights with few victories, but a portrait I can live with.
Quixotic demeanor is a reminder of my journey, the people I lost, and the road ahead.
I choose the abstraction of poetry to encompass my thought process. I use digital art to display ambiguous sentiments layered within time.
Quixotic demeanor is an ode for those not taking capitalism as a fatality to surrender to.
The words and the images remain a hope nourishing other paths.
PS: Brooklyn spleen is the reason why Quixotic demeanor must survive.
